Is Remix OS rooted? - gschanuel - 04-26-2016

Title says it all.

Is Remix OS rooted?
Is it possible to root it (steps)?

Thanks in advance

No it's not rooted. I'm sure it's possible, maybe someone else knows how. IMHO, it's probably not worth rooting in its current state at least til there's a stable release.

Everything looks better on RemixOS, the resolution is bigger..
I'm using Android for now, since the release of rooted version.
Please, root remixOS so I can stick with it!

thanks again

Anyone know if there is a way to root Remix OS?

I have seen a few attempts at rooting the RemixOS image - to my knowledge, none of them worked. That's not to say that it is impossible - just that I haven't seen a successful attempt yet

Looking around I've found a few ways to do it with the x86 version by replacing a file. I haven't been able to turn much up on any arm versions however.
