bypassing 12v - khaosgrille - 08-15-2019

Hi,

want to power the rockpro64 with lifepo4 batteries. with 2 of them i get around 6.5V.

Looking at the schematics the device only needs 5V.

Is there a good reason not to bypass the 2 buck converter and inject directly 5V?
It seems much more efficient than stepping up to 12V and than going back to 5V.

Greetings

If you are not using the PCIe slot, supply 6.5V directly to ROCKPro64 SBC power jack may work.
