Underclocking the Rock64 (latest stable linux image) - va88 - 08-07-2019

Hey guys, I was using armbian, but got some SD corruption and had to start from scratch.
I decided to use the latest stable release of Ubuntu from ayufan.
Googling around I found a guide on overclocking the Rock64, but I actually want to underclock the CPU to top at 1008 Mhz, so I won't need a heatsink or a fan.
How do I do this?
On Armbian there was a one line command that did that.

Thanks!

Try cpufrequtils.

Edit: punctuation. Ugh.

The soc automatically slows itself down if things get too hot
