Pinebook left USB port not working - while right port does. - armhfadillo - 08-03-2019 I have tried several devices (mouse and jump drives) in left USB port, with no function at all (although it seems to be powering the mouse laser, with flickering). This is after installing latest stable (supported) Armbian. The right USB port functions normally. The left port seemed to work with the initial Android OS, though Android was unable to read the Linux image on that USB drive. I did install the 'mini firmware package' using Armbian-config -> [System and third-party software] -> [Mini] (if that is relevant). Thanks for any help regaining the lost USB port. Surely the only way to be absolutely certain if this is a hardware or software issue is to reload the original distro that was on the PineBook to start with (KDE Neon?). If everything works as it should with the original software then it will be 100% an Armbian problem with much relief that the hardware is ok. Obviously if it doesn't work with KDE Neon than you have a hardware problem RE: Pinebook left USB port not working - while right port does. - armhfadillo - 08-04-2019 Thank you neilman. I may boot another OS from SD card to try that out. Good idea. As I said, I think I did get some function from the "dead" port with Android. So that is plenty of reason for hope. Thanks in advance to anyone who looks into a probable USB driver issue with Armbian. |
