JMicron cipset SATA PCI-E card support - Yroth - 07-27-2019

Hello,

I would like to use this SATA expansion card
https://www.delock.de/produkte/G_89384/merkmale.html?setLanguage=en
but before I want to know that the rockpro64 supports the JMicron chipset. I'm not a Linux expert, therefore I appreciate any advise / suggestion where can I find the related information.

Thank you.

My guess may not work.

It might work and each port is capable of 6gbs sata3 but all ports share a maximum of 500MB/s x2 for the x2 pcie 2.0 lanes.
With x10 drives that would be 100MB/s theoretical max per port and that is if it works.

I think its prob a pciex2 switch running 2x of there 5 port sata cards.
