10000 mAh is not 10 Wh, unless the voltage is 1v...

I have no idea what voltage it is or what voltage the chrome book is, as was too lazy to check.
I am thinking that it probable due to it being on the pinebook that it could be a tad short.
Maybe you should find out.

The battery in the Pinebook Pro (and the original Pinebook, for that matter) is 37Wh. That is 3.7V and 10Ah. Because, ya know, watt-hours = voltage * amp-hours. Wink

It's basically identical to the Chromebook you're referring to.

Yeah thanks for that as now you know how many Wh from a near as damn it identical device you know the expected run time from the reviews and should be able to give average power usage.
The Op1 was 2.0/1.5ghz but not all ran that high as opposed to 1.8/1.4ghz so the 9 hours is prob not as optimistic as Googles or Asus or whoever.

Thank You for your replies, guys.

I was hoping that Pine would have some good measurement equipment available, and that there would be some real world numbers.
I have asked Luke if there are any real world measurements available.

The actual power consumption for the Pinebook Pro will depend on the hardware components used in this specific system as a whole, including the efficiency of the AC adapter used.

The number for "Idle" could vary depending on each use case, of course, but in this case I would be interested in the power consumption for the standard configuration (no additional devices or accessories connected), fully charged, freshly logged in to the default OS (preferably a clean install), with WiFi turned on and connected, and no additional apps started.

And then each of us can take it from there.

From what I've seen so far [1], the battery in the Pinebook Pro is 3.8V (nominal) and 10000 mAh = 38 Wh. Model Name: NV-40110180.

RE: Power Consumption - Battery life? - ab1jx - 10-11-2019

Assuming the CPU and GPU are mostly idling, how long does it run on a charge?

[edit]

OK, about 10 hours at most with a new battery, from another post.  As the battery gets some age/use/cycles that starts dropping.  Marginal at getting through an 8 hour work day.  I guess you can fiddle with slowing down the cpu.
