eMMC malware - burp - 06-01-2019

I ordered a 64GB eMMC for my Rock64.

The eMMC arrived preformatted in exFAT, and contained ransomware.

This is obviously a very serious. Where did you get the module from? the PIne store?

Yes, I should have mentioned - I bought it from the Pine64 store.

Have you already formatted it or erased the contents?

Thanks on the heads up. If possible, please provide a close up eMMC photo. I will ask PINE store to make sample check on the eMMC modules that in stock. WE will file complain to eMMC supplier when discover such incident.

I erased the contents as I wanted to get started on my project, but there's little doubt as to what it was.

Thanks on the info. PINE store has returned back all reminding 64GB SanDisk based eMMC modules in stock back to vendor for rescreen.
