I think there will be a PCIe update soon for this image.
RE: Feature-complete Debian build - SDIO WiFi/BT / PCIe / 3D / 2D - Mrfixit2001 - 01-16-2019
Yes - Luke is correct! The current release includes some PCIe support but there will be additional functionality and drivers added to an updated release soon, as well as an updated ROCK64 and RockBox release. Thanks for your patience, all!
RE: Feature-complete Debian build - SDIO WiFi/BT / PCIe / 3D / 2D - Pepijn - 01-16-2019
Guys,
Thanks for this release!
But I am running into some kind off noob problems when testing this image.
I have successfully flashed the image and can log in in the tty environment with root and rock user. I have installed gnome, lightdm and gdm. the gdm device manager is giving me some kind of black screen with a restart.
My question is how do I achieve in this version to start up with a GUI instead of the CLI. I would like to use this version with Kodi regarding the fix for the output of the headphone.
thanks in advance for your reply.
Pepijn.

X2, planning on realising a desktop environment img? Armbian looks to be making some nice improvements but for me media is all I'm missing, could care less for pcie, did use your recalbox img and it's very nice just don't get around to play much use more for media, nas, and p2p sharing as well as managing a pi hole and printer sharing, so I'm interested on trying all new images, hoping for the one that finally suits my needs, media atm the only throwback on other builds.
Seeing your work on recall hope you can be the first to get a clean build that does media.
RE: Feature-complete Debian build - SDIO WiFi/BT / PCIe / 3D / 2D - Mrfixit2001 - 01-16-2019
Lukasz actually talked me into doing a desktop image at some point in the future but there's some stuff in the works we have to complete before that. There will be another update to the Debian image coming soon with a few updates, including the ability to update it without reimagining from then on.
For now, you can install a desktop package that uses gbm (sounds like mate runs well) and the kernel will do all the high def media stuff you need

I installed the Mate desktop and everything works. But I have a problem. How to correctly install chromium step by step ??
After installation with the command '' sudo apt install -y chromium ''
Chromium installs but does not start

Try launching chromium from the terminal, and see what it says. code: chromium-browser
That's how I debug my programs when they break.
