OTG on Android - onderbetaald - 11-12-2018

Hi,

I'm planning on buying the ROCK64 for a project. I'm looking for a single board computer that can run Android to be used as a USB gadget / slave. The ROCK64 seems to be just what I'm looking for, since it has a USB OTG port.

However, I cannot find anyone using the ROCK64's USB gadget / slave capabilities while running Android. I was wondering whether this works in Android, i.e. are all the right USB drivers available and working within the Android distribution? And if so, is there a link out there explaining how to set up the USB OTG port in slave mode (if any special actions are required)?

Thanks!

I am not sure if I understand your question correctly.

you want to connect your pc via a usb cable with the rock to make something there?

transfer data?

I could test it in principle times and let you know if it worked but for that I would have to know exactly what you have in front. Since I only use a translator, I'm not sure what your goal is. please describe exactly what you want to connect and what you want to do then I like to test it for you.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I want to connect a DJI controller, but you probably don't have one at your disposal. I guess performing a data transfer would prove that the ROCK64 is working in slave mode. So it would be great if you could test this for me! Be aware that you will have to connect the top USB 2.0 port of the ROCK64 to your computer, as this is the USB OTG port. And while you're at it, maybe you can try to connect it to a different port is well (for instance the bottom USB 2.0 port) and see if you're still able to make the data transfer. If you are able to make the transfer in the first test but not the second, I'm confident that all drivers are there and everything is alright.

Your help is much appreciated,
