Their is soft power switch option on the new rev B Pine A64 board (the board that deliver to developer on early January and to KS folks on February), Android OS already supported this switch. There is also a reset switch option on Rev B board. Another feature added on Rev B is UART console port.

Good to know I was wondering what the final power switch decision would be

The button position is there. We don't stuff the button due to every case may has it owns button switch requirement such as short or long nose. If we solder a botton there, it is hard to get out and may damage the board if you are not good in soldering.

So the ability to have a switch will be there and we just need to solder the switch ourselves?

Hi tllim, so we won't be getting the button?
Can you advice what kind of button to use for us non-savvy users?

I'll want to have the buttons on hand when I receive the board.

That is correct.

RE: power Circuit - SkimMilk - 01-28-2016

Hi tllim, is this also for the reset button?

I am sorry I can't read Chinese characters. Could we wire the switch around 4 feet away from the board than?

Four *feet* away?? What are you housing it in? 'x3
