Rockpro64 Ubuntu 18.04 minimal 64 bit - shutdown command - whitehat - 09-14-2018

Unless the power supply is unplugged, the system reboots after "shutdown -h now". I just came to find out the system was powered on after a shutdown command last night. I tried the same command again. The problem is reproducible.

Edited. Following comment added: Well, on extra try to reproduce, the problem did not occur. Guess this is intermittent.

Hello whitehat,

Could it be that you reached 70+C, and fanctl shut down for safety reasons?

Regards

all i have to say is i dont the -h flag.... i just use shutdown now...
it is a bit ambiguous... look at the man pages it states "h
Requests that the system be either halted or powered off after it has been brought down, with the choice as to which left up to the system"

so i am not sure how the choice is made but it could be the system just stays in a soft off .... like some android systems do....

here is what i looked at to get that quote...
https://linux.die.net/man/8/shutdown
