Newbie, No GUI interface for Debian Stretch Min 64 (bld 0.7.9) - Pajaro - 09-10-2018

Aloha,

Installed Debian Stretch Minimal 64bit OS Image (mSD, bld 0.7.9).  After signing on using CLI (rock64/rock64), I only can enter CLI/Linux commands.  Why is there no GUI???  Angry   Is this normal?  Do I have to install GUI packages.  I am not sure what my next step is!   Any help via links, Linux commands, etc would be grateful... Shy

Warm Aloha,
Pajaro

The minimal image is just that, very minimal. Try the LXDE image, it has a gui. Alternatively you can try installing with apt, but I never have much luck doing that.
