Wifi Module - Anunnaki - 04-14-2016 So I've got my system up and running with Android, and I cant figure out how to get the wifi to work. Maybe i've installed it wrong. You only have to connect the module to the board right? Also the cord thing looks like it might be a sticker? What sup with that? All's well that ends well RE: Wifi Module - cknouf - 04-18-2016 Anunnaki - I still have not seen a reply from anyone to your question of what is the "cord thing" with what appears to be a sticker and what it is for. Also, when I opened my shipment bag, in addition to my Pine A64 and WiFi / Bluetooth module there was a very small button switch that looks like a toggle on and off. Was this a mistake, and if not what is it for? I will attach pictures once I get home from work. RE: Wifi Module - Tommy_2Tall - 04-18-2016 The "sticker on a cord" is actually an extra wifi antenna, which can be mounted on or outside you case. I am not sure but I think that there's a builtin antenna on the circuitboard (or within the wifi chip) but with that antenna properly connected (through the very small uFL connector) it should improve your wifi reception. There is no builtin antenna on the circuit board, we prefer to use external antenna which can easily fix to good location that yield better wifi performance. |
