In any case they need a few months yet (maybe a year) to reach the last stretch goal... RE: bootlin creates free vpu software for the rock64? - mcerveny - 08-13-2018 Do not mix GPU (3d acceleration/OpenGLES with ARM proprietary and closed sourced "mali450mp2" HW) and VPU (video decoding/encoding acceleration that is Rockchip proprietary but open sourced in user space (MPP) and kernel space "rkdec"/"rkvdec"/"rkvenc"/"vpu"/"vpu-service"/"avsd"/"vepu"/"h265e" HW) ! Opensource GPU drivers are developed under name Lima. Check wiki rk3328, wiki MPP, wiki. |
