Running debian testing, web video blows :( - dougunder - 02-22-2018

Hey,

I'm running Debian testing and and using Ayufan's PPA (kernel, video driver, gstreamer plug-in, mpp etc)
My desktop performs alright (Bugdie) Firefox Quantum is alright (firefox-esd is a dog)

Video's play ok via Parole (gstreamer) but web video (youtube el at) isĀ unusable.

Is the video driver really this crappy or do I have something amiss?

that is only linux, android firmware performs OK on youtube video. I would say that linux does not work with graphic adapter due to inadequate or no support of MALI450MP2. Currently I'm looking for more or less useable linux distributive and to find the way to install my WIFI dongle based on RTL8192EU, once managed to hook that up will move to propper video adapter support...

I have plenty of Android boxes around already.

I got this specifically to run a GTK desktop as I greatly prefer it to Google's JVM hack.

Seems like the DRI driver etc is there but the glue is missing.
I've no had time to dig deeper

Sad

That wifi should be supported in debian
