Hi Luke, Linux pine64 3.10.104 #13 smp PREEMPT Mon Dec 12 15:00:06 MYT 2016 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux What i have found is that the sound is working on hdmi and not the onboard plug when running Ubuntu Mate. I havent looked into this any further as i am considering going back to a different OS. I havent found the performance to be very satisfactory with Ubuntu Mate, youtube is awful and a few other websites my kids use, for example mathletics.com, dont work properly. My main reason for installing ubuntu was the restart button that is within the GUI interface (i dont have a hardware power/reset button on the board). So i have a bit of a dilemma, Android 7 and no reset button, or something like Ubuntu with a reset button on screen which the device clearly struggles to run properly. Any advice on the best of both worlds (on screen power button + good performance) would be appreciated. That image is ancient - don't use it. Please use this image instead (there is a script in /usr/local/sbin to make it super easy) and just install mate or i3. Also, if you want android on the Pine A64 then do use this A6 as it performs much better than A 7.1 Everything on these images should work as you'd expect them to. |
