RE: Rock64 has not Ethernet LAN - dgoins - 08-25-2017

Im happy to say things are fairly good with this version of stock android I installed yesterday:
http://files.pine64.org/os/ROCK64/androi...mmc.img.gz
RKMC crashes android about 12 minutes into a LAN streamed movie, but Android itself seems to be going well.  It was on all night (doing nothing) but did not crash.  GbE still up and running.  RKMC that comes with this image is a release candidate, so maybe the latest is better.  But Ive no idea where to find a nice stable version for ROCK64.  Any body having good luck with a solution they can recommend?

Hi.  Thanks for the suggestion.  I had seen them, but they are 5 months old, plus say "debug".  I avoided them hoping there was something newer out there from a different source.  The android image is only a few weeks old, so it didnt really compute.  The included version in the standard android image was 16.1 rc3 and I got a notice from RKMC popup that an official 16.1 release was available.  But now I cant get that notice to come back up, nor see how to do an in system upgrade..  Maybe at this point its best to wait for Pine to release a new Android image..

Yeah, after flash this firmware "rock64_20170809_stock_android_7.1.2_emmc". the Rock64 worked well with Ethernet. But some of apps do not work with mouse like youtube. So I should use youtube on Chrome Browser. Is it a new problem????

Also experiencing Ethernet issues on my ROCK64 2GB production board on community Linux builds.
This is quite random, it does miss DHCP at boot time pretty often, but once up it's very solid.

RE: Rock64 has not Ethernet LAN - ayufan - 08-28-2017

RE: Rock64 has not Ethernet LAN - Techlover - 08-28-2017

@ayufan hi, i have installed your latest build - system is still slow like hell, cant even change the resolution without having errors... tottaly messed up system(( i dont know what to do next with my 2gb Rock64, both of them actually

RE: Rock64 has not Ethernet LAN - ayufan - 08-29-2017

Maybe this is problem of SD card as performance on my model is OK.

RE: Rock64 has not Ethernet LAN - dgoins - 08-31-2017

ATV 2.17 is working well for me.  No crashes and good GbE!  Thank you.  Kodi from the playstore seems to work well too.  Sounds like RKMC is dead?  I read that somewhere.
Maybe this thread is ready to close, but Ill try this question.  I have the Pine64 remote.  With ATV 2.17, I cant find a way to go "home".  The home button doesnt work on the remote, so to get back I just have to keep hitting back..  Am I missing something?
