Switch inside the case - hene - 08-13-2017

I wonder what the switch inside the case on motherboard does? Also I'd like to know what the small button does? I assume it's battery disconnect.

Thanks

I haven't opened mine yet, but there should be a switch there to switch the headphone jack towards UART0 (Serial console for U-Boot and linux)

A button? Most likely a reset button. But I haven't checked the schematics.

Oh are there public schematics somewhere? I'd love to see them.

The switch is to turn on UART via headphone jack (UART0 is multiplexed with audio) for debugging and OS development, the pusbutton is to enter A64 FEL (bootloader) mode, the schematics and other docs are here: https://www.pine64.org/?page_id=5734, for datasheets check the wiki http://wiki.pine64.org/index.php/Main_Page#Datasheets_for_Components_and_Peripherals
