It used one Nokia Akku BL-5c for several hours. So you don´t Need any IO Pins on the Pine64. RE: GPS expansion board - xalius - 07-06-2016 Since most modern GPS receivers just have a UART interface with either NMEA or some binary protocol, a lot of different devices will work. If you need PPS support for time synchronization I saw a thread somewhere here on the forum, can't remember if that works out-of-the-box yet...
