Thanks xalius, I missed that. Excellent place to start!

Indeed, I finally have mine and I enjoy it, I'm on the fence about the OS, is it best to reflash the eMMC with the latest mate install from the pine-installer program or is the one that comes the same?

Hoping for remixOS for the pinebook to make things complete for me.

Get the recent image from the installer;  it has many improvements.

Well, it seems that the customs procedure will take longer that the shipping self. It is waiting at the customs since Friday and still have no info from them. Just because my country just switched to "electronic" customs procedure, that is a complete fail and almost impossible to use for the common people.

RE: Patiently awaiting shipping info - xalius - 06-21-2017

In Germany the customs process almost adds a week to the shipping time. First they have to receive the package, then they send you a letter by snail mail and then you can drop by and argue around with the customs official. There is an electronic system now too, but you have to apply for it and have to give a good reason why you need access...

In Slovakia, the electronic system is mandatory for every citizen since May 1, 2017. We may bypass that if we let DHL to do that, but it costs extra money in addition to tax/customs fee and it can also take longer. So I applied for the electronic system by myself.

Did Pine install the larger emmc or do you have to install the larger emmc by yourself?
I also ordered a 32GB emmc (64GB wasnt available)

hi guidol;  you have to install the eMMC yourself.  There is a resources page on the wiki explaining how.

I couldn't find that wiki page about eMMC install. Could you please link it here? Thank you.

Please go to this resources page link for the pinebook:

... once you're at the link open the Quick Start Guide and scroll down. You'll find an eMMC Removal Guide that you can download.   Best of luck to you!

PS.  Please be careful to put things back together properly;  the plate|cover needs to be lined up properly to avoid shorts and other case reassembly difficulties.  Getting the screw holes lined up is a little difficult.

For anyone watching order dates: I ordered mine on May 16th. Received shipping info this morning. Departed Hong Kong 9:37 pm and is schedule to be delivered by the end of day tomorrow which seems crazy to me.

So, my pine is shipped by DHL in France. ANd....bad, very bad surprise, I have to pay 43 € for custom duties. I'm totally disappointed.
And you ?
