Microphone / Audio In - iammackinnon - 03-30-2017 Has anyone had luck with audio input using the 3.5mm jack? The audio out works fine, but I'm unable to record any sound. I've tested using the old android 5 and the newer Android 6.0.1 (32 gb image, lcd/hdmi) The camera, audio out, lcd / hdmi all work. RE: Microphone / Audio In - kenjiru - 04-23-2017 On mine, I had to fiddle a bit with the 3.5mm jack. After a few twists, I found a position in which the microphone also worked. By the way, did you test the Pine camera or an USB camera? I have had success with the Pine camera. I haven't tried plugging in a USB camera though. I was hoping to create a temporary makeshift baby monitor with a skype account, the pine camera and a mic. By fiddling with the jack.. do you mean you just put the mic in, and wiggled it around for a while until it worked? RE: Microphone / Audio In - dkryder - 04-23-2017 one thing to check is that you are using the proper plug for the audio socket on the pine64. information on the differing layouts of plug/socket is offered on this page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phone_connector_(audio)#Computer_sound RE: Microphone / Audio In - kenjiru - 04-24-2017 (04-23-2017, 07:09 AM)iammackinnon Wrote: By fiddling with the jack.. do you mean you just put the mic in, and wiggled it around for a while until it worked? Yes, this is exactly what I did. Not sure what's the proper plug for Pine64, I just used a Samsung phone headphones. Make sure to insert the jack all the way in. I've noticed that after reboot you have to unplug the microphone and plug it back in. I forgot to mention that this was working on android-ver5.1.1-20161208-pine64-32GB.img.gz |
