Ok, weird issue here. I hooked up the standard lcd and wifi module but the screen just stays black.
I re-hooked and triple checked each of the connections and the best I got was a quick white flash of the LCD screen then black. I tried a different SD card but no joy. I have a replacement LCD cable inbound but I'm not sure that's the real issue.
Anyone run into this before? I didn't have an hdmi monitor I could test with at this time to make sure the board's working but that's a task for tomorrow.
