Cigar Box Enclosure - dockle - 03-08-2016

I think I am going to try to make one out of a nice cigar box, and thought about a fake hollow book. I want to use mine as a set top box for the TV so I want it to blend in and not stand out.

A retro look.  The non-computer.  I'll figure out some way to route the wires so you can't see them.  The TV is already inconspicuous.

I have not identified the box yet, so many to chose from.

Will I be able to use Logitech Living-Room Keyboard K410 ???

Yes, that keyboard should work fine.

I like your idea of making a case out of a cigar box or hollow book.

I am going to use a hollowed out book.  It is sitting ready for the board to go in.  Still haven't fully worked out the cables yet though. I am a little concerned about ventilation and possible overheating though. Any suggestions?

For ventilation, i would suggest getting a couple small fans, one to blow onto the Pine, and another to push air out of the book, probably through some loose pages. I'm not sure what the book looks like, or how big, but basically you want air to get the heat off the board, then push that hot air out of the book. Maybe a small slot on one side (for cables as well!) could serve for ventilation.

I would suggest relying on real measurements instead of assumptions. This thread might be worth a read (the next days also): http://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=389&pid=3337#pid3337

I wasn't aware of the actual data, but for my project I'm using two 80mm fans connecting with a USB, with a speed controller inline.
