If some one is interested in turning their Pine into a science fair project, a Mesh network node would be fun*.

*May not be applicable for all definitions of fun.

 Did you try it ? Did it work ? Pine64 does have Ubuntu 16.04 OS image file so https://superuser.com/questions/1141862/setting-up-wireless-mesh-network-802011s-in-ubuntu may work. But I have not tried it. Let me know how it goes ..

http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/25650511/ hardware for Pine64 wireless driver is Wlan/Bluetooth module by Realtek. Now does it support MESH networking ?
