cannot play any video - aneryan - 10-03-2016
still no gpu driver yet?
im tried to play video with debian and i have try ubuntu too... the audio is good... but the video is really really bad

If you want video please use Android. Video for gnu+linux is going to be a while, if at all ever.

Bad in what way? (the video, not your English
) I was able to play video with no problems, but it would not go full-screen - even when you maximised the player or tried to go full screen, the video stayed it's original size.

There is no dual boot mechanism for the pine board ( similar to Grub II ) for the OS versions available atm. Dual boot on the pine board amounts to swapping out the SD card. It is possible to have multiple partitions on a usb stick ( or hdd, ssd ) and have the rootfs on the disk ; the SD card then boots into the rootfs of choice... a dual boot of sorts.

The only real way to dual-boot at the moment on the pine64 would be via uboot. However, that would require you to choose which OS to boot via the serial console, basically meaning you need to use another computer to connect to the pine64 on bootup, just so you can tell it which OS to boot. Not the most practical option! It will probably be a while before we see anything like BerryBoot or NOOBS for the pine64.
