Question regarding Playbox case - jeffrey_ring - 09-09-2016

Hi!   I received my Playbox case and was able to connect everything together with the help of Bob Carlson's video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTCIiChXfSQ&feature=youtu.be .   One thing Bob pointed out in his comments was the inability/difficulty to swap the microSD card if the case is snapped closed.   I was thinking about acquiring a microSD extension cable to plug into the microSD port on the board that could feed out the case opening where the USB ports are accessible so that I could easily swap out the card without having to re-open the case.  I am not sure if this would work or not.  Could someone please let me know their opinion on this?  Thanks!

hi, yes, micro SD extension cables are available...  this is just one.

Hi Mark! Thank you for your suggestion. I went ahead and ordered a similar cable to the one you suggested and it just arrived today. I plugged it in to the microSD slot on the board, placed my microSD into its SD holder and plugged the SD holder into the other end of the cable. Powered up and it seems to work just fine! :-) This should make it easier to swap out OSs. Thanks again!

You are welcome; I'm glad it worked out ok for you, and others will be glad too, because anyone attempting to use the ABS playbox will run into this same problem.
