3.2V lithium cell. - tonigau - 01-28-2016

1. Does Pine64 support 3.2V Lithium cell. eg: LiFePo4
If no at the moment, can this be included as an option.
I have some 10Ah  headway cells that I could use.

2. It would be useful to have an option in battery charging for Max capacity or Max life.
(Lithium cells at full charge all the time have shorter life than if 95% charged.)
         or
is this something that can be done in application software

Thanks

I don't thinks the current Pine A64 charging circuit designs for 3.2V LuFePo4 battery, it is designs for 3.7v Lithium or LiPo battery.
There is one developer currently focus on power manager driver, not sure whether he will come up the battery management software.

Yes, any 5v power source with micro usb connection that can supply at least 2 amps of current. (Or a 3.7v LiPo battery).

Note, in another thread (http://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=118&page=2) mentioned that the pine64 might not be able to offer the 8000mAh battery, due to recent problems in shipping batteries.
