You can download a remote app to you android phone (if you have one) and control Kodi this was as well.
One example is the app Yatse.  you will need to configure Kodi to enable the remote control.

Yatse only works on KODI but not on android... so you still need additional remote.

I don't know if it works flawlessly, but there is an IR pine64 remote on the shop.

I wonder if similar IR remotes for android TV can work with pine64.... anyone tried that so far?
I actually got an Air mouse remote from Amazon and it seems to work well...I am able to use it even for some basic games as well as Kodi.
thanks, it's encouraging... i could not find a simple and appropriate remote IR app to control the pine through my smartphone. so a dedicated remote (with implemented keyboard) is the way to go.. Cool

RE: Kodi on Android - vinodmenon80 - 07-14-2016

Well I just bought a Logitech K400 Plus wireless model.

Will this work with Android and Remix OS? What about Ubuntu andArchLinux?

I also got 2x units of 16GB Samsung EVO to install Linux and possibly Android\Remix.

I hope this will work fine.

I have the same keyboard and it works perfect, on remix os first make sure it is unplugged as it doesnt seem to be boot with usb plugged in.

If anyone doesn't mind the long wait, this looks like the exact same mouse sold at Amazon for $6 less.

RE: Kodi on Android - stephen0205 - 08-20-2016

anyone having kodi sound issues. When there is silence in a video, on youtube or netflix, its like it turns the audio source off for a second.

when i start a video it will miss like the first second or 2 then the audio will cut in, but it also does it with pure silence, and then cuts back in.

Any idea how to fix

Did you try SPMC? If not, give it a try.
