pinebook pro dixplays vertical stripes - WEF - 03-22-2025

While using my pbp, it displayed vertical wide grey and white bars covering the screen for a few seconds, display went black and it shut down. It had been pretty stable for quite a while.
Now when i power it on, green light on the keyboard comes on for maybe 10 seconds then goes out, the screen remains black. Anyone dealt with this? I hate to take it apart to blindly start seating cables or whatever since i understand this thing is easy to break and i am somewhat of a klutz. But i would like to get it working again, any suggestion is appreciated.

I'd start by trying a micro-SD card with a different OS.

BTW, what OS are you running? I had something very much like this happen during a system update with Manjaru; the solution was to fix Manjaru. But if you weren't doing an update, I don't expect you're running into the same thing.

Thanks, i am running Manjaro, dont have an sd card. Figured it out though, looking at it today i saw the red charge light was blinking. i put it on a good usb charger and let it charge, it now boots and works again.
This is the second time i have had a usb charge port on two different power strips fail, that is a failure rate of 100% at least for me, the same thing happened with my roku, works for months then the power strip usb doesnt supply correct power. dont know if it was wrong voltage or under current but the pbp is working now on a different dedicated usb power supply. Thanks for helping-
