Pinebook Pro wants a PIN for my bluetooth mouse - ColoBill - 01-19-2025 Hello PineBook Pros, I have had my PineBook Pro for five years now. Ordered November 2019. It's been a useful lightweight laptop for me which I've carried all around the US and even Europe, and Africa. A few months ago I thought it was dead because, even plugged in, the power would not come on no matter if fully charge and pressing buttons. A couple weeks ago I came back to it and miraculously just turned right on. Oh well, here's my problem now. It wouldn't pair with my bluetooth mouse anymore. I deleted the device and tried to re-pair it. Now it wants a PIN code! There never was any PIN code for this mouse. Here are the details: Manjaro ARM Linux, 24.03 Fenifox Bluetooth Slim Mouse (I love it and have 2 of them) Any ideas on how to get it to stop asking for a PIN? I'm not good with fingers and trackpads. RE: Pinebook Pro wants a PIN for my bluetooth mouse - ColoBill - 01-19-2025 I had tried using using the blueman-manager as well as the command line bluetoothctl with no success at all. To answer someone's question I brought up the blueman-manager, deleted the mouse device, set the mouse into pairing mode, had the manager search for devices, and tried to connect with the mouse again. A Bluetooth Authentication pop-up came up, BUT, this time it didn't have a Enter PIN pop-up with it. It had buttons and one said "Always accept". I don't remember seeing that before. But if you ignore it then you won't get it again and you're stuck in Enter PIN mode forever. IT IS WORKING! I guess I didn't see that before. |
