Thank you for advice and suggestions. PS: I've just noticed this post with similar, possibly the same issues https://forum.manjaro.org/t/usb-port-breakdown-hardware-or-software-issue/139653 RE: Problem with USB 3.0 Type A - KC9UDX - 07-13-2023 One of the nice things about this hardware is how easy it is to rule out software: Try a different operating system on micro SD card. Hopefully you don't have an issue with U-Boot preventing that. RE: Problem with USB 3.0 Type A - dachalife - 07-13-2023 What are you trying to connect? The PBP is a low power device and things like large external drives (storage/DVD/CD writers) will require a powered USB hub to function. RE: Problem with USB 3.0 Type A - hobbitus - 07-15-2023 I used just ordinary devices, keyboard, mouse, a small WiFi adapter, eth adapter etc. It used to work. I have installed postmarketOS and had the same issue, no USB available. Therefore I assume it is problem with the hardware. RE: Problem with USB 3.0 Type A - dachalife - 07-15-2023 Sorry, I can’t assist with PostmarketOS/Manjaro; I don’t use them, my PBP was only Manjaro the first boot up to check if the hardware was working. With that said, I can usually use a <20gb pen-drive and a mouse fine on my PBP, (without the additional NVMe kit installed) utilizing the stock power adapter. Anything more than that and I need a powered hub. Try a Debian based OS if you have the time, Kali & Debian have been reliable for me. |
