Is that a Multiboot selection on startup? - jojuma - 07-09-2023 I recently flashed the current build from July 2nd on my emmc since I had issues lately after updating. When I switch the phone on now, there appears a screen showing 'Mobian' which I have to select to continue booting. Is that meant to be a multi boot option? If so, can I omit that screen somehow as long as there's one OS only? On the other hand, how would I add an OS? Thanks in advance for clarification RE: Is that a Multiboot selection on startup? - scorchplow - 11-05-2024 Yes, that "Mobian" screen is likely a bootloader menu, which appears when multi-boot is enabled. If you only have one OS installed, you can usually skip the menu by configuring the bootloader to automatically boot the default OS. To do this, you can modify the bootloader settings or set the default OS in the bootloader's config file. If you want to add another OS, you'd need to partition your storage for the second OS, then install it, ensuring both OSes are configured in the bootloader menu. Let me know if you need more specific steps! RE: Is that a Multiboot selection on startup? - linmob - 11-18-2024 Does it look very much like Phosh? Like this? If so, that's phog https://gitlab.com/mobian1/phog/, a greeter application for Phosh that has the benefit of doing things like unlocking your keyring with login (as long as the keyring has the same password as your mobian install). RE: Is that a Multiboot selection on startup? - vusra - 12-04-2024 What is the best way to match the keyring and login passwords? |
