Debian bookworm security repo - user641 - 02-16-2023

I needed to reflash an image of mobian from february 5th, I just noticed that there's a new repo from debian bookworm security, previously there was only the the bookworm main:
before:
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm main
now
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm main
deb http://security.debian.org/ bookworm-security main

I would like to know why, and if we users need to to something in regards to the coming debian freeze of bookworm, how to proceed? What's recomemed, stick with stable once it's released or stay in testing?

I would like to know why

Because things are getting readied for the Bookworm release and the security repo is part of that

You don't have to do anything. The next phase of the freeze we're in now means there are more restrictions and f.e. the default period for packages to transition to Testing/Bookworm has now increased from 5 to 10.
If you want, you can help getting the Release Critical bugs fixed which means that Bookworm can be released faster.

That's a choice you'd have to make.
The Mobian developers plan to support Bookworm as Stable.
Personally I think that's still too early. OTOH, I rarely run Debian Stable.
