unsuccessful re-install of OS for PineBookPro - Valiance - 02-12-2023 14" PineBook Pro, purchased in late 2022 I stood up the desktop and had it just starting working I wanted to upgrade to the latest Manjaro ARM kde Plasma for PBP v22.12 as I followed the directions, my system only gets to green power LED, no screen, no sound - I'm stuck. I do not recall interrupting the process, although at this point I am not ruling it out. I would like to get the PBP laptop stood up to a desktop environment for Plasma/Manjaro RE: unsuccessful re-install of OS for PineBookPro - Valiance - 02-12-2023 (02-12-2023, 08:10 AM)Valiance Wrote: 14" PineBook Pro, purchased in late 2022 I found the switch for the eMMC to allow it to boot microSD and got an install stood up. I cannot access the SSD however. still working on it. RE: unsuccessful re-install of OS for PineBookPro - wdt - 02-13-2023 SSD ??? Do you mean emmc or nvme ? If emmc, it it is just a question of timing, when to flip the disable switch back to enable It has to be long enough for the 3rd choice, SD to start loading idbloader (& then uboot,, from SD) but not too long, before uboot finishes its device enumeration So.. press pwr button 1 sec, wait 2-3 sec, flip switch lsblk to see if you got it right, emmc has the boot0, boot1 sections on it (rk3399 does not use these, ignore) Or, there are the unbind/ bind commands, search forum If you mean nvme, usually because it wants too much power, I don't know the commands to put it to power state 2 RE: unsuccessful re-install of OS for PineBookPro - Valiance - 02-14-2023 Thank you. Switching the eMMC worked. Had a little struggle with when to switch it back, but got it figured out. ![]() |
