For Signal compatability: check out Axolotl.
Axolotl: Signal Group chats work (as of this reply), Videos playback (with sound), along with other Signal messaging features.

For Arch or Manjaro, you could install/compile from AUR.

Hello I have followed the links you provided, I was also wanted it on my phone and it worked for me. I hope this forum will post more and more solutions like this.
