Can the Pine64 act as a bluetooth receiver? - photojoe - 07-05-2016 I have the pine64+ 2GB with stock BT/WiFi module. I have played with the android and ubuntu images. I want to build a media player. Android seems to be the best platform for this due to better graphics performance. I got the plex server working fine in ubuntu and I was impressed! I would like to know whether it would be able to set up the device to act as bluetooth receiver, thus stream music from my phone via BT? Thanks RE: Can the Pine64 act as a bluetooth receiver? - Tarjei85 - 07-05-2016 Not sure about the BT, but I have set up my Pine to be able to recieve AirPlay/Miracast. So I am streaming both music and video to my Pine. I am also able to mirror the screen of my tablet on to the Pine. All thanks to this app ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2 ) RE: Can the Pine64 act as a bluetooth receiver? - photojoe - 07-07-2016 (07-05-2016, 04:11 PM)Tarjei85 Wrote: Not sure about the BT, but I have set up my Pine to be able to recieve AirPlay/Miracast. RE: Can the Pine64 act as a bluetooth receiver? - montero65 - 07-20-2016 I assume you need this app installed on all devices you want to connect, right? So would need on the phone and the Pine? Definitely going to check this out. RE: Can the Pine64 act as a bluetooth receiver? - photojoe - 07-20-2016 Hi montero, You install this app on the pine64 and then the iphone just uses the built-in "airplay" functionality. No need to install anything on the iphone. RE: Can the Pine64 act as a bluetooth receiver? - montero65 - 07-20-2016 And if it's an Android phone, do you need the app, or is there something that is built-in for that as well? (guessing if you're using the iPhone, you might not know, but hoping someone else might) RE: Can the Pine64 act as a bluetooth receiver? - Partymack711 - 10-31-2019 Hi, I am looking to use my Pine as a music receiver from my iPhone. Is there an audio out on the Pine or will I need a HDMI to Audio adapter? I want to just plug the Pine into my HiFi. Thanks! RE: Can the Pine64 act as a bluetooth receiver? - Partymack711 - 11-04-2019 Hi. I have sorted this and it working great as a WiFi music receiver. I have Two question: • Has anyone used the DAC Stereo audio Pot? I am wondering if it works on Android 7.1? • is there a way of increasing the output volume From the 3.5m output? There does not seem to be a way of boosting this in settings and my volume is set up full. |
