Where do i check/post/report bugs/issues with the software? (or hardware?) - nande - 04-01-2022 Hello everyone, I've read the forum rules (ofc i did ofc), and it mentions that bugs should be reported to the project repo (which makes sense to me). I'd like to report the bugs that i find, and check the status of the ones reported (maybe what i find is already reported). I have no idea where are those repos located. Can someone give me a url? Im using manjaro+plasma on pinephone pro (and i love them (well im used to debian instead of manjaro, but so far is great)). Thanks! RE: Where do i check/post/report bugs/issues with the software? (or hardware?) - wibble - 04-01-2022 The wiki pages for software releases are a good place to start for distros in general. The pinephone one currently has more complete information while the pinephone pro one is a bit light on extra details. https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/PinePhone_Pro_Software_Releases https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/PinePhone_Software_Releases For Manjaro that will point you to the github page for the releases - you can then use the Issues tab to report things. I have never seen that pinephone software can run on pinephone pro as your comment seems to imply. Could you indicate your experiences in doing that? Else alot of people could get into major issues. Question posed initially was related to pinephone pro. tom kosvic RE: Where do i check/post/report bugs/issues with the software? Which is the one im interested in. https://github.com/manjaro-pinephone/plasma-mobile/issues RE: Where do i check/post/report bugs/issues with the software? I didn't mean to imply that - you can't boot an OS image for a PinePhone on a Pro, or vice versa, because the kernel and the boot process are different. However much of the development goes in within the same repositories for both phones, and they share a lot of software (and bugs) that aren't hardware specific. The PinePhone wiki page currently has more direct links about things like where to report issues for a distro than the PinePhone Pro page, so it is a useful place to check if there's information that would be common to both phones. |
