imagemagick preinstalled - user641 - 03-23-2022

I would like to know why is imagemagick preinstalled on  the mobian image? Does it have any underground function?

Yes, used by megapixels.

I uninstalled it, to make it work with the megapixels camera, I just have to install it again? Or install also some dependecies?

megapixels will still work without it - it will just produce tiff files and not jpeg.

AFAIK megapixels has no dependencies.

To get the best out of megapixels make sure you also have dcraw installed (converts raw to tiff) as well as libimage-exiftool-perl (which gets some sensible exif data into the jpeg).

ps - for completeness see Documentation here.
