My Step-Father's new PinePhone Pro will not turn on, all switches are activated. - Adam's Throwaway Account - 03-06-2022
My Step-Father recently got a new PinePhone Pro, and it won't turn it on. No, he isn't some dumb boomer who didn't think to charge the phone, it hasn't turned on for a few days. All of the switches are set to the "ON" position, and he has charged it enough for it to be at 100%. What is he doing wrong, and what can him or I do to fix this issue?

Sounds silly, but is the plastic cover still covering the battery contacts?

No, he removed it. It charged for one night and now it won't acknowledge that it is being charged.

The phone can't be charged while it is turned off. The reason why it is not booting is a bug causing U-Boot to bootloop with a drained battery. Simply charge it in Maskrom mode as explained in the blue info box: https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/PinePhone_Pro#Installation_instructions
