Apparently, the protective cases for the regular PinePhone (hard, soft) and the screen protector are not suitable for the Pro, are they?
Are there their Pro siblings around, or coming along anytime soon?

Hello, yes the Pinephone Pro is a little bit thicker than the original so the protective case are too thin for it. I don't know when cases for the pro will be available (I'm waiting for them too) but you don't need to buy a screen protector because the pro ships with a gorilla glass screen protector.

I am currently using my pinephone case from the original pinephone on the pro. The material stretches out so it fits surprisingly.

I'm definitely looking for an easy-to-remove protective case that has a lip that extends past the screen.
Obviously OtterBox is out of the question due to the difficulty of removing them.
The PinePhone's soft TPU case doesn't extend enough past the screen.
Any suggestions are welcome, even if I have to cut or drill the case to make it work, so long as cutting or drilling doesn't defeat the purpose of having a case by weakening its protection.
