Anyone know how to get an apparently perfectly electronically and mechanically functional PPP to boot from ... well, anything would be nice?

I only want to run mobian. I dont want ANY other OS on this phone. I assume I must have had tow boot working (Ive never seen a screen showing tow boot, I just assumed it does nothing visible before booting the OS kernel...) or the thing would never have worked before.

It was working until I ran an apt-dist-upgrade earlier, and now it's e-waste.

help?

Best if you create an own thread, or rather ask in the chat. Tow-Boot is not guaranteed. The early batches came with nothing on the SPI, some in the middle with Tow-Boot and some later with rk2aw. If you hold volume keys on boot and it shows the specific LED colors as explained under https://tow-boot.org/devices/pine64-pinephonePro.html, it has Tow-Boot.

If there is Tow-Boot on it, boot a flashed microSD card with the volume key selecting the microSD card at boot. If not -> RE key + an image including a bootloader. Please ask in the community chat if anything is unclear.
