PPP no audio except phone - IHaveALinuxPhone - 02-01-2022
I’m on Day 2. The phone works though not very cleanly (Mint Mobile) but I have no other audio - no YouTube in browser, no radio in Shortwave, no sound in cnn clips. It’s not muted and Settings aren’t helpful. Advice? Maybe some CLI commands?

You may want to try booting another distro from an SD card. The stock Manjaro Plasma image is very buggy and does not run well at all in my opinion. I am running Arch Phosh and I have no issues with audio on calls or YouTube.

I'm a little wary of that. The word "brick" seems to be coming up a lot when people try to use SD cards. The boot system to be vulnerable to people as clumsy as I am. I'd like to wait until it's a little more routine.

Using an sd card will not damage your existing installation, unless you choose to DO it, just using the sd card will not do any damage.
When you remove the sd card, that system is no longer on your phone. (your original installation on the eMMC is un-touched)
----> using Linux means the choices are always your own to make.

When I tested the default os I had the same problem with audio. I also flashed Arch Phosh on an SD card and have no problems now. It's a pretty simple process, even a newbie like me can manage.

You guys talked me into it. I'm running Arch Phosh now and it seems a lot better to me. I'm running it off an SD card now. I assume that's the reason I could not download new apps right? Is there a cheat sheet for just putting it on the phone and dumping Manjaro Plasma? I don't understand booting, either on my Ubuntu laptop or on the phone. Mainly what I understand is if I mess it up I'm SOL.

The Flashing software works perfect for all the original Pine phones, however that will not work on the PRO series...!
We are WAITING for the image that is Compatible with the PRO series of phones.

I've been trying sailfish in SD with no problem and then manjaro again (in emmc)
I've done it today 10 or 15 times and no problem.
