Keyboard causes Pinephone brick? - acc1 - 01-22-2022
When I connected the keyboard to my Pinephone, the keyboard didn't work after booting up PostmarketOS 21.12 SXMO. Then after rebooting, the phone hasn't worked again, it's hard bricked. Has this happened to anyone else?
The LED goes from red to amber to white, the phone vibrates, then turns off. I've tried booting off eMMC, a different SD card, disconnecting the battery, and nothing works, the phone is 100% dead.
I wonder if I got a bad unit, or if this happened due to some HW/SW interaction with the keyboard battery.

That's very concerning. Sorry to hear about your PinePhone. If you have a multimeter or voltmeter or know someone who knows how to use one, it might be worth trying to measure the voltage the keyboard battery is putting out. If it's much too high for some reason, that could explain it.
Make absolutely sure the multimeter is set to measure volts and not current or you could short the battery out!

I'll take some measurements tomorrow and post the results. The phone was from the PmOS batch, which was HW revision 1.2b.
I've also messaged Pine64 support to see if this is a known issue.

Pleas get us informed as i have a keyboard too that is not working but my phone still works after connecting the keyboard.
