PineTime BLE connection - pinemike - 01-18-2022

Hi All,

I am struggling to connect to PineTime with NRFConnect / Gadgetbridge on both iphone and android phone -- none of the phones can detect the watch.
I have just received it and charged. There is no bluetooth icon on the watch face.
I cannot find any documentation saying how to turn on bluetooth on the watch (or is it permanently tuned on?)
All docs/tutorials say -- scan and connect but it does not seem discoverable and I could not find any troubleshooting guide.
The watch is running firmwave version 1.6.0 (f41aaad6).

Could you please advise how I can connect to at least set the time?

Thanks,
Mike

hi there,
the Bluetooth on InfiniTime should be active, and device should be discoverable unless it's currently connected to some device. but since i can't see the blue Bluetooth icon on the InfiniTime watch face, looks like it's not connected.
you could try to enable the Location on the phone, in addition to the Bluetooth, and try again (i assume, that app can see any other BLE device and there is issue only with PineTime)...
sometimes rebooting both phone and PineTime helps.

Rebooting the PineTime helped.

Thanks!
