I've got the same question, I've tried various gestures and button presses but cannot dismiss a notification.
Running v1.7.1 but had the same question for the v1.2 it shipped with.

Unfortunately this functionality is not available yet in InfiniTime. There is/was a pull request for this, not sure why it was closed a couple of days ago.
