The "Should I buy a Quartz64 right now?" flow chart - CounterPillow - 12-10-2021

Hello PINEfriends,

I made a small flow chart to help people decide whether they should buy a Quartz64 Model A right now. I'll try to keep it updated as progress continues. I hope some will find it useful!

Note: This mainly applies to the Model A.

To me it's a yes and no at the same time.
If you have a serial USB, you can use it for the initial setup, and then continue via SSH.

After that, if you want to use it as a Monero node (with external SSD), buy it.
If you want to use it as a web server, better wait until a frozen release distro like Debian comes available, because Manjaro is really not something you want to use on a production server.
If you want to use it as a desktop PC, better wait until it becomes more daily driver ready.

Does the "Do you need usb 3" question apply to usb 2 as well? Or is usb2 working without breaking sata?

USB 2 works without breaking SATA, it's strictly just USB 3. Future revisions of the board will remove the SATA port and have USB 3 only.
