I have not experienced any of those issue but I would still like to and upgrade to the ROCK5 Model B with RK3588 with possibly 8gigs of ram I would pay extra. I love my current pinebook pro and have been use it more and more as my daily driver but would love some extra power.

Upvote on forespeakers - i'd definetely bought an upgrade board with at least 16G of RAM (cpu upgrade would be a nice feature, but Cortex A53 satisfies most of my needs).
In my opinion form factor of current PBP is too sturdy yet adorable to just toss it away on eventual next Pinebook-pro-ultra release.
Especially given amount of unused space in case.

in my imagination i could extract current mainboard and use it as regular SBC to run not so requiring tasks like LDAP or print server, while having beefy monster hidden in cute 13" case :3

Ps. i am right now charging this sucker out of cheap chinese solar panel (5v, 2a) - i can't imagine as flexible, mobile and universal device as PBP in current form factor...
