Inserting Existing Sim in PinePhone - No response? (Verizon US) - seanp - 11-03-2021

I'm trying to make the switch from an iPhone over to my new PinePhone, but when I insert my Verizon US sim card from the iPhone, the PinePhone doesn't seem to register that it is there. Do I need to get a new standard size sim card to make this work? I used the adapter thing, which was difficult at best, but looked like it went in there straight.

You need to contact Verizon customer support, and ask them to allow your PinePhone on their network. If you go to your "My Verizon" page, select "bring your own device", and check your PinePhone IMEI number, you'll find that it's not supported, but that's not the end of the line. Contact (call) customer support, and ask for help with a request form, they'll fill it out for you, and get back to you in a few days.

Excellent, I will give that a shot. Thanks!
