How to increase sound volume when headphone jack is in use? - lacriz - 10-12-2021

I can imagine the default max. volume is so low to protect the internal speakers. No problem there.

However, when I plug-in my bluetooth speakers (because PP bluetooth audio does not work for me) or car audio (no bluetooth there) I find the maximum volume way too low.

I know from e.g. the video player Clapper (excellent btw!) that sound volumes of e.g. 150% are possible. So I guess there is some kind of CLI command that could be used/scripted/whatever? Pretty please?

Thanks for reading

My question was kind of answered here: https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=14498&pid=99666#pid99666

I searched for 'Tweaks' in the software app, installed it and enabled 'over-amplification'. Now the volume rockers let you go up to 11 whenever needed Smile
Works on Arch+Phosh.
Oh, 'Tweaks' lets you also show the date in the top bar which is very nice. And you can set up your start-up applications etc..

The latest version of 'tweaks' seems to be called 'Gnome extension' now and moved to flathub, but I have not installed that one, too: https://flathub.org/apps/details/org.gnome.Extensions
