Yubikey 5C on manjaro - zeb11 - 09-26-2021

Hello,

tried using the yubikey 5C on my pbp but cant get it to recognize the device.
I was looking at this wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/YubiKey and installed yibikey-manager and yubioath-desktop.
After that enabled pscd.service and tried to see if yubi authenticator sees the device but was not the case.

lsusb output did not show the key either.

Any ideas on what I could do to make this work ? Already trying two days but no luck so far

I have now tried the key with a USB-C to USB-A adapter and now it works without any problem. Seems like usb-c port issue ?

Can you try rotating the key 180 degrees before plugging it in?
Yes the USB-C port has an issue of not recognizing devices sometimes. It's not rotation proof, even though it should be.

thanks for your answer!

tried that already since I read in a forum about rotating the key, but it didn't make a difference.

I think maybe the port on my pbp is not working correctly since I plugged in a usbc-dock and could not use it, when I plugged it in the usb-a
port with the adapter it worked without any problem. I notices that I can charge the pbp through the usb-c port though.
